A Stylish London Wedding: From the Grand Staircase of St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel, to the Urban Chic of The Cross London.

The wonderful thing about getting married in London is that there are endless possibilities to match so many tastes, you can combine a mix of different moods and locations, to create a wedding that feels exactly you. Cat and James did just this. They chose an eclectic mix of elegance and luxury at St Pancras Renaissance Hotel followed by the urban-cool vibes of the five-story converted nightclub, The Cross, London. They designed an experience that matched their style and personalities. It was a unique day, a wedding that oozed effortless style and sophistication.

Wedding Photography at St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel.

The couple’s day began in the luxury Chambers suites within St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel, located in the heart of Kings Cross. It was a dream location for a London wedding photographer. The bride started her day in the Sir John Betjeman suite, a distinctive room, bathed in natural light that streamed through the hotel’s grand windows. Cat’s Pronovias Ceeylo gown’s delicate lace details and the soft, romantic tones of her bouquet were captured beautifully against the hotel’s rich, historic interiors.

Cat paired her stunning dress with fashion-forward details from Vivienne Westwood to Celine.

One of the standout moments of the day was the couple’s portraits on the hotel’s iconic staircase. This sweeping, architectural masterpiece offered the perfect setting for my style of romantic and artistic wedding photography. The soft curves of the staircase, paired with the couple’s effortless style, created images that felt both timeless and intimate.

A Wedding Ceremony at Camden Town Hall.

After the morning’s preparations, Cat and her bridesmaids made their way to Camden Town Hall for the ceremony, a minute’s walk from the hotel. Matching the clean lines of the exterior, Camden Town hall feels grand and polished inside. As you walk in, you are greeted by a large chequered entrance hall and an impressive light-filled marble staircase. The bride and groom chose the Council Chamber for their ceremony with its beautiful wood-paneled walls and tiered seating, where everybody had a perfect view of their heartfelt ceremony.

Capturing the ceremony, was a joy. From the nervous giggles as Cat and James said their vows to when Cat’s young nephew nervously handed over the rings, their ceremony was heartfelt and emotional.

After the ceremony, we took group photos on the marble staircase.and the newlyweds exited the town hall to a big cheer and a cloud of flower-petal confetti.

A Chic Reception at The Cross, Kings Cross

Following the ceremony, the celebration moved to The Cross at Kings Cross, a vibrant and glamorous event space that perfectly balanced industrial cool with contemporary style. Boasting six storeys, The Cross boasts a nightclub in the basement, and a panoramic rooftop bar, each floor gives a different style and mood, The exposed brick walls and ambient lighting created a relaxed and inviting space for guests to relax and enjoy the day and move smoothly from dinner party to hedonistic party vibes.

The reception was filled with laughter, heartfelt speeches, and close friends and family on the decks. The Cross offered endless opportunities for photography, from fly-on-the-wall documentary moments on the dance floor to an outfit change into a long sequinned gown, followed by a few intimate couple portraits in the iconic Red Room. The evening was a perfect reflection of the couple’s unique style and the vibrant energy and a creative’s dream day!

Capturing the Magic of a London Wedding

A note from Jen:

Cat and James’ day, was a perfect example of how diverse and dynamic London wedding photography can be. For me, wedding photography is all about capturing the essence of a couple and telling a story of their day so that they will recognize themselves at their best and happiest.

What Cat & James Said…

“Jennifer completely understood us as a couple, and shaped our wedding photography around us as quite awkward subjects! She just got the vibe immediately with no direction, and the results were simply incredible. We could not have wished for a more kind, caring and positive person to be present for the most special day of our lives. Words cannot describe how highly I would recommend her as a wedding photographer. Should any further significant events happen in our lives I have no doubt we would hire her to capture them! All our love, Cat and James x”
