St Paul’s Cathedral Wedding Photography, London.

St Paul’s Cathedral wedding photography, London – Emily and Rob found my photography on a popular wedding planning website. They were planning their reception at the beautiful Stationer’s Hall in the City of London but kept their incredible ceremony venue secret until we met over a consultation call. Photographing a wedding at the iconic St Paul’s Cathedral, one of London’s most celebrated landmarks, is any wedding photographer’s dream come true and when Emily and Rob booked for their photography, I couldn't have been more excited.

St Paul’s Cathedral is an exclusive venue. Designed by Sir Christopher Wren, it has stood for over 300 years and only about 30 couples every year can marry within it’s majestic walls. A specific license granted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, is required to hold your ceremony. Ceremonies are typically reserved for just members of the Order of the British Empire, and their children. Emily’s Mother was awarded a CBE for her achievements which made this wedding extremely special for everyone involved.

Morning Preparations at Lost Property

Lost Property is a modern and photogenic hotel by Hilton, is only a short walk to both St Paul’s Cathedral and Stationers Hall and the ideal place for morning preparations before the ceremony. Rob and his groomsmen met at a pub, just outside St Paul’s for a quick drink to calm the pre wedding nerves and met their guests in the beautiful crypt inside St Paul’s, where the ceremony took place.

Emily was walked to the Cathedral by her father and bridesmaids who wore tones of mulberry pink, paired beautifully with bouquets of roses, freesias and eucalyptus arranged by the wild garden florist.

A Wedding Ceremony in the Crypt at St Paul’s Cathedral.

A ceremony in the crypt of St Paul’s is beautifully intimate. Photography is strictly forbidden during the ceremony, which makes it feel private and special. .Emily and Rob’s intimate vows were a privilege to witness. There were plenty of beautiful photo opportunities afterward and a dedicated private space amongst the magnificent interior of St Paul’s for group photos of the wedding party after the ceremony.

Emily and Rob had portraits taken amongst the historic marble statues and underneath the whispering gallery. The couple took a moment to reflect and have a few private moments within the cathedral before exiting via their private staircase. The newlyweds were greeted with applause and celebration by their guests and a group of excited onlookers traveling on a London tour bus in a perfectly timed exit.

A Reception at Stationers Hall.

Following the ceremony, the couple and their guests made their way to the elegant Stationers’ Hall for a reception that was both sophisticated and fun. Located just a short distance from St Paul’s Cathedral, Stationers’ Hall is one of London’s hidden gems. It's historic charm and stunning courtyard provided a beautiful setting for Emily and Rob’s reception, with guests enjoying fine food, heartfelt speeches, and plenty of dancing into the night. The guests walked to the venue and greeted Emily and Rob with a cloud of confetti as they entered the courtyard via a spiral staircase that led into the garden.

For Emily and Rob, their wedding was nothing short of spectacular, a day that perfectly combined timeless elegance with personal touches. From the grandeur of the cathedral to the relaxed cocktail hour at Stationers’ Hall, every detail of their wedding reflected their love, style, and sense of fun.

When I stood in St Paul’s watching Emily and Rob exchange their vows. It was a moment that felt both poignant and emotional. It was truly a highlight of my career as a wedding photographer so far. Emily and Rob, I feel honoured to have been chosen to photograph your wedding and your wedding is one that I will always remember.

Please enjoy exploring this gallery of photographs from Rob and Emily’s incredible day.

“ We could not have asked for a better person to take on this job. Jen was absolutely lovely from the moment we started talking and it felt like we’d known her for ages! She took the job extremely seriously, putting in so much work to research the venues and even going to see the venues (yes plural) before the big day. The day itself was perfect, Jen was happy, enthusiastic, friendly and very experienced. She did her job brilliantly and honestly was there so much later than expected to continue to keep capturing those special moments for us. When we saw the finished photos we were absolutely over the moon - they are incredible. Thank you so much Jen for being the best wedding photographer! You absolutely smashed it.”
